Hedwig, Harry's pet owl, is a mainstay in the Potter series. Arranging for a live owl to be at your party is an option to consider. Contact your local Zoo, SPCA, bird sanctuary, wildlife refuge, or pet stores to see if you could have your own "Hedwig" at your magical gathering. Other options might be to include other animals such as frogs (Trevors) or a rat ( Scabbers) or Cat (Crookshanks) to have your own Magical Menagerie at your Potter party.

Owls, Cats , Rats oh MY! Having animals at your Potter party is a fun activity enjoyed by all, especially the younger children. Arrangements can be made to have many of the same type of animals in the Potter books for your own Magical Menagerie or Care of Magical Creatures class of your own.
