Make your own spellbooks, and then amaze your friends with all your magical knowledge!

Materials:

brown paper grocery bags
brown paint
gold paint pen

Instructions:

Make old leather-look book covers by painting brown paper (grocery bags) with brown or dark tan house trim paint. When dry, crumple gently to add texture, cut and fold the 'leather' into a cover to fit any book. Use a gold paint pen or metallic marker to add title and author to the front and spine. Decorate with 'stitches' around the edges or flourishes and designs. You can even 'emboss' the leather by inscribing the surface with a blunt object.
