A crocheted version of the popular POA scarf

Materials:

I/9 (5.5 mm) hook
Burgundy yarn (or Black, Green, Blue)
Gold yarn (or Yellow, Grey, Bronze or Silver)
Scissors
Yarn needle

Instructions:

With burgundy yarn, ch 32. Dc in 4th ch from hook, and in each chain across.
Note: For a thinner scarf, ch 21. Dc in 4th ch from hook, and in each ch across. Continue on with pattern.

*Ch 3, turn. Dc in each dc.* Ch 3, turn. Repeat from * to * for 9 rows.

Change color to gold. With gold, ch 3, turn. Dc in each dc across.

Change back to burgundy. *Ch 3, turn. Dc in each dc across* Repeat for 2 rows. Change to gold. With gold, ch 3, turn. Dc in each dc across.

[Change to burgundy. *Ch 3, turn. Dc in each dc.* Ch 3, turn. Repeat from * to * for 10 rows.

Change color to gold. With gold, ch 3, turn. Dc in each dc across.

Change back to burgundy. *Ch 3, turn. Dc in each dc across* Repeat for 2 rows. Change to gold. With gold, ch 3, turn. Dc in each dc across.]

Repeat in between brackets [ ] until scarf is desired length, ending with 10 rows of burgundy. Add fringe if desired.
